The old post office in Belgium turned into a luxury boutique hotel

Recently, in the center of the Belgian city of Ghent, a new fantastic hotel opened in 1898 called The Post. The hotel with 38 luxurious rooms was once a post office. In 1898, the magnificent building with neo-Renaissance elements and a 54-meter clock tower was designed by architect Louis Cloquet. It is located in the heart of Ghent between the Grain Market and Grasli Street. Opening its doors in 1909, the post office quickly became a center of activity and worked in its original status until 2001. Today, guests from all over the world can stay here during their stay in the city.

The hotel pays homage to the brilliant history of its building in all its details, even in the room names - The Stamp, The Letter, and The Postcard. The hotel even has a room dedicated to the horse-drawn carriages that once delivered mail. But the most unforgettable hotel feature for guests, of course, will be the night in the clock tower, which is now an octagonal duplex. This stunning room offers a 360-degree view of the city. Each room of the 1898 The Post exudes warmth and individuality, thanks to carefully thought-out style and furniture of the early 20th century, which gives a sense of historical Belgium.

At the same time, the hotel offers its guests the most advanced service and all the necessary technologies - Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and built-in sound systems. You can dine in the restaurant with a modern, open-air kitchen in a casual setting, or enjoy a cocktail in the stylish old-fashioned The Cobbler bar. Just look at this amazing reincarnation!
