Feira de Artes da Benedito Calixto is the most famous antique fair in Sao Paulo. The fair has long outgrown the format of the ordinary market, has become a place of cultural and tourist significance.

It exists since 1987 and every Saturday gathers in the square of the same name (Praça Benedito Calixto) in the Pinheiros area. From 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. in this place you can buy almost anything you can think of. Starting from works of art, antique toys, clothes, vinyl records and utensils to furniture of the mid-nineteenth century.

In addition, the fair has a small food court where you can have a meal with various typical Brazilian dishes. From two thirty to six thirty in the evening there are various performers of folk songs. Many come here solely to have a snack and drink beer to the sound of music.

In addition, twice a month, another interesting event takes place on the territory of the fair, which is called "Autor na praça". This is a project in the framework of which meetings, presentations and communication of various writers, artists or musicians with visitors to the fair and fans take place.
