10 reasons to drop everything and go to Japan for the fabulous wisteria festival

Spring is the most magical time of the year in Japan, not only because of the sakura blossom, but also thanks to the annual stunning Wisteria Festival, an indescribable celebration that cannot be missed.

Ashikaga Flower Park is located in Tochigi Prefecture, just a 2-hour drive from Tokyo Station. This is where the festival takes place, because every year hundreds of beautiful trees fill this place with dazzling colors. Upon arrival here, you just need to take a walk along the magical 80-meter tunnel, covered with unique white flowers, and feel what it is like to be in a fairy tale.

Note that Japan is the birthplace of wisteria trees, and the age of some of them here exceeds 150 years. This year the festival will begin on April 15 and will last until the end of May, so you have a great opportunity to have time to enjoy this magnificent spectacle in person. In the meantime, admire the pictures, they are also amazing!
