Finalists of the 15th Smithsonian Photo Contest announced and they are awesome

Spring is the time of year when Smithsonian Magazine announces finalists for its hotly debated photo contest. From year to year, the publication continues to amaze us with the work of its competitors. Among the 48,000 shots, the jury had to select only a few dozen finalists who would compete for the main prize and first places in the nominations.

We present to your attention the twenty most brilliant entries, among which you can choose your own favorites today, and in a few weeks we will find out if your opinion coincided with the sympathies of the judges.
