Branch of Mordor. Tolbachik Lava Fields

Kamchatka is not only cosmic landscapes, but also a unique opportunity to find out what Mordor looks like. The darkest fantasy land where the villain Sauron wields. As a matter of fact, there were many jokes about the ring) Tolbachik lava fields are a huge (without exaggeration) river of frozen lava. It was absolutely wild to realize that all this existed for only a few years. And a piece of stone in his hand a couple of years ago was part of boiling lava. It gives a great shake to the imagination. For some reason, it was this fact that haunted me. Usually used to being in places where everything has long been known, the paths are trodden, thousands of selfies are filmed. And here everything is new, still alive. I don’t know if you will understand me, but it’s very cool!

Despite the severity of the 80th level, there is life among the volcanic slopes. A bunch of completely tame eurogies, extorting to devour. This handsome man crawled into a hole with a belly full of nuts.

We were moving towards the lava flow resulting from the eruption of Flat Tolbachik in 2012. Damn jealous of those who managed to catch this unreal event. But even after the eruption, there is something to watch and shoot. Probably this will be my favorite post from Kamchatka - lucky with the atmosphere, good dramatic light and gloomy clouds. All that is needed)

It is easy to imagine that all this mass froze only for a moment, and soon it will come to life again - it will burrow and flow down. The mass of frozen statues is staggering - chaos, a heap of forms ...

Such influxes were especially impressive. The wife immediately said - elephant skin. In places it really is very similar. But I have only confectionery associations - like a frozen nougat.

Under the outer layer was hidden "filling", even the influx. As if all this mass was moving and froze in an instant, forever fixing the movement.

I slowly went crazy with these landscapes, continuing to press crazyly the shutter button.

Above the lava river, hot patches began to come across. On a cool enough day it was fun to warm up there)

The landscape ceased to remind of the Earth, there was a transition to Middle-earth. Surprisingly, there were many bright colors - from the green fields of moss and ending with the red outlets of some kind of volcanic rock.

There are several deep caves in the lava flow, where until recently lava flowed. In one of the caves, you can generally arrange a hammam)

In places there was a smoke - fumaroles soared. Not as active as in Mutnovsky, but for the first time it made a strong impression!

Earth until the beginning of time - as during the formation of the modern appearance of the planet. Though documentaries shoot about the past of the Earth)

And, to my surprise, very saturated colors, although you can not help but expect a severe monochrom from such a place.
