Amazing food prices in a Prague supermarket

- In Europe, everything is wildly expensive, but with the current course it’s completely ... ah, - I see such comments in every travel post about Europe.

Want to be honest? In many ways, you are very deeply mistaken. Although I understand why, because most people talk from the couch, having no idea what and how much it costs in Europe. Just the default in Europe is getting worse and the point.

Now I will show you the price tags in a regular Prague supermarket, and you will be surprised that the prices of many products are the same as in Moscow, some are 20-30% cheaper, but vegetables with fruits are cheaper, sometimes at times and convey a big hello to import substitution .

I did not choose a cheaper supermarket and took pictures of all the shelves in a row - the main thing is that these are products sold by us.

Yes, all prices are in Czech crowns. The exchange rate at the time of shooting was 2.8 rubles per kroon.

This is an average supermarket in one of the mall in Prague, like our "Crossroads".

For comparative signatures to photographs, I specially went to one of the "Crossroads" and wrote down the necessary prices.

So, let's go:

The first thing I came across was the price tags with coffee and tea. A 100-gram can of Nescafe Gold for our money costs 280 rubles, Davidoff - 560. The prices of the “Crossroads” for the same goods are 285 and 561 rubles ... A penny for a penny!

Ordinary vegetable oil, which is clogged with all the shelves, costs 84 rubles. In the "Crossroads" the cheapest oil that I found costs 116 rubles - "Sloboda".

This is the Czech Doshirak. 28 rubles per pack.

Budget horns and curls. 19 rubles per pack.

The cheapest at the Crossroads are twice as expensive - Ameria, Makfa and Extra-M.

“Barilla” is now far from everywhere - sanctions ...

In Prague, Spaghetti No. 5 costs 118 rubles. It’s cheaper here - from 88 rubles.

Suddenly, there are a lot of Ukrainian products on food shelves in Prague - canned vegetables, preserves, jams, soft drinks and cereals ...

Buckwheat, in Czech stores you can buy buckwheat without problems ... The price is higher than ours.

We cannot find these products)

Drowned - pickled sausages for beer.

Sauerkraut in jars ...

Even spam)

Beer here is not just cheaper than in Russia, but cheaper at times!

Moreover, it is even cheaper than water. However, I already wrote about this.

Now we will pass to the most interesting and that absolutely everyone buys - vegetables and fruits. And here ... everything is very expensive in comparison with Prague.

Potato - 155 rubles per 5 kg or 31 rubles per kg. In the "Crossroads" 1 kg starts from 51 rubles.

Carrots - 56 r / kg. In the "Crossroads" - 53. Cheaper.

Tomatoes on a branch - 155 r / kg. We have less than 200 do not come. And in different stores prices can be found up to 600 rubles per kg.

Packing cherry tomatoes 250 g - 48 rubles !!!!!

Forty-eight rubles, Karl !!! For such a price, I am ready to eat only cherry tomatoes.

In the "Crossroads" the cheapest domestic tomatoes in a similar package cost 116 rubles. And there are 296 rubles. for 350 g and 300 rubles. for 400 g. And also domestic. Import substitution drives!

Golden apples - 70 rubles. We have - from 110. For 79, I found only "Apples 1 kg Garden Giant." The variety, of course, is different; it is not even indicated.

Oranges - 56 r / kg. We have 95-110 rubles. Hello to sanctions against Turkey. The Turks probably cry, but we overpay for fruit.

Melon - 155 r / kg, lime - 225. We have 224 and 275, respectively ...

Seeing the price of mangoes, I was ready to shoot myself ... 75 r / pc. We have less and much worse - from 105 apiece.

But I have not seen the price of avocados) 56 r / piece! Ripe, the right softness ... We have those from 100 and above. And really tasty is only in the "Alphabet of Taste", but ... almost 200.

In general, I brought a dozen mangoes from Prague ...

I didn’t compare the prices for drinking Activia, it’s you yourself)

But milk ... 30 rubles per liter.
