Close-up insects look like aliens from scary movies

Swedish photographer John Holman, fascinated by insects since childhood, made a name for himself as the first insect photographer. A talented self-taught with a very meticulous and scrupulous approach to photographing, Holman removes these tiny creatures either in the wild or in his impromptu home studio.

His insect portraits are an incredibly detailed look at the personality and anatomy of different types of tiny creatures.
