The most beautiful library in the world is in Prague

The Clementinum Library is one of the most exquisite examples of Baroque architecture in the world. It was opened in 1722 as part of the Jesuit University and is home to more than 20 thousand books. Not so long ago, it was recognized as one of the most beautiful and majestic libraries in the world!

The ceiling murals were painted by Ian Hibl. And in 1781, director Karl Rafael Ungar founded the National Library here - a collection of literature in Czech.

This library is a rare and little-known treasure, it is associated with several amazing facts. First, Clementinum was the third largest Jesuit college in the world. Secondly, back in 1775, they began to conduct weather reports and continue to this day. And finally, this place is presented in the novel of the famous Spanish writer Jorge Luis Borges.
