The American decided to photograph himself every day until his death for the sake of experiment

When we look in the mirror, we don’t notice the small changes in ourselves that occur daily. This is probably why we are quite satisfied with looking back at our old photographs, where the changes are a bit more pronounced.

For almost 8 years, David Espinosa has been documenting his life in a series of daily selfies. He recently decided to combine them and got a 4-minute time-lapse video as a result.

Espinosa, a student in computer science, began taking pictures of himself every day at the age of 14 to see how his face would change over time.

Today, a 22-year-old Texas resident says he was inspired by the photographer Noah Kalina (he did a similar project in 2006 and became famous). And the American himself is firmly convinced that this occupation will become life-long for him. "I plan to do this until I die, so subscribe to my channel to see how I will get older!"

70 hours of editing turned into a 4-minute video showing David's transformation from a 14-year-old boy to a 21-year-old young man.

David says that most of the time spent working on the video was to ensure that each photo was perfectly aligned for a smooth transition effect.

Many people wrote that when they watched the video to the end, they felt as if they were getting older with David. Some said they did not notice the changes until the very last frame, showing David's shots in 2010 and 2018 next.

And here is the whole video.
