People saved a newborn squirrel, but he grew up and refused to be a squirrel

One day, the hero of our post today returned home and found that the squirrel had made a nest of twigs and dried pine needles for his two newborn cubs right in his bed.

The man called on two employees of the wildlife conservation organization to reunite the babies with their mother. But all their attempts were unsuccessful, and soon the squirrel completely stopped coming to their babies.

Unfortunately, one of the cubs died, and the veterinarians stated that the remaining one could not survive on its own. Then the employees of the organization Christina and Michael, who helped the guy at the very beginning, decided to take the squirrel to themselves.

They called the baby Thumbelina and began to care for her. The baby was unusual from the very beginning: since it was not born in the season of the birth of squirrels and immediately lost its sister, Thumbelina grew up without interacting with other proteins.

Everything in her life was slow. While most small squirrels quickly refuse milk, Thumbelina, even growing up, did not part with the bottle.

In addition, unlike other squirrels, the baby was not interested in jumping and climbing. Instead, she walked calmly.

Despite all the efforts of people to introduce Thumbelina to other proteins, she did not want to have anything to do with her brothers. One of her "adoptive parents" says: "I don’t know who she considers herself, but definitely not a squirrel".

Today Thumbelina is quite a happy squirrel, who spends all her time with human mom and dad. She loves sugar balls, arugula and avocados.

And with all his heart he hates being outdoors, cold weather, other squirrels and vacuum cleaners.
