Cape Town artist draws how people with low vision see the world

Have you ever thought about how people with visual impairments see a world without lenses and glasses? Philip Barlow, an artist from Cape Town, created a series of paintings that clearly demonstrate the daily difficulties of those with myopia - the most common visual impairment.

At first glance, Barlow's paintings look like out of focus photographs. But these hyper-realistic oil-painted illustrations perfectly convey the blurring effect that is so familiar to myopic people.
