What is the best way to get rich quick? Surely many of you thought about the treasure and all sorts of treasures. You can start searching today, without delay. We can tell you some places where sweet prey awaits you.

There are many legends about lost treasures. But it is impossible to find out if they are true until they are found.

Treasures of Lima

After the victory over the Incas in the 16th century, the Spaniards received large trophies. They kept most of them in Lima until 1820. When the rebellion arose, the Spaniards were forced to save their wealth and take them out.

This was entrusted to the English captain William Thompson and his ship Mary Dear. Jewelry should have been stored on the ship until the moment the rebellion was crushed. But the captain and his team could not cope with the temptation and shot the Spanish watchmen. After some time, the entire treacherous group was captured and executed. Only Captain Thompson and his first assistant survived. They promised to show where they had hidden the luggage pointed to the island of Cocos, located near modern Costa Rica.

When the sailboats moored ashore, both surviving pirates hid in the jungle. No one else found them.

There are many questions left. Did the captain and his first mate really dig up the treasures and continue to live, despite the active search for the Spaniards? Was Cocos Island really the place where they buried their treasures, or did the pirates just know that it was easy to escape and get lost there? What was the volume of treasures?

Spanish government officials of that time estimated the value of jewelry at about 10-70 million dollars. The census consisted of an incredible amount of diverse values. To date, the value of the treasure is estimated at $ 250 million. His fate is still unknown.

Nazi gold

Toplitz Lake

Shortly before the end of World War II, the Germans flooded several freight containers in Lake Toplitz. They understood that the war was lost, the Red Army was getting closer. The length of the lake is 2 kilometers, the depth in some places reaches 100 meters.

Some containers were later found. They contained fake money from the countries of the Allies in the anti-Hitler coalition. The Nazis planned to undermine the economy of these states with the help of inflation. The plan was called Bernhard.

By Hitler’s personal order, hundreds of trucks with a gold reserve of the Reich were brought to the lake. There is speculation that there are 24 wagons with gold and platinum bullions. It was not possible to completely leave this a secret. There is evidence of some representatives of the local population who observed how the Germans dumped cargo directly from cars into the water.

Unfortunately, the search for the treasures of the Reich in this pond claimed several lives.

Helmut Mayer and Ludwig Pichler were the first to suffer. A little later, Hans Haslinger joined them. They set up a tent in February 1946 on the shore. First, they decided to climb Mount Raukhfang. Haslinger most likely sensed the danger and returned. About other tourists for a long time no news has been reported. The authorities were forced to start their search. After a month, everyone was shocked by the terrible sight. Two bodies were found in the mountains; death was clearly violent. In this case, the abdomen of one was ripped open and the internal organs were folded into a backpack. Later, the investigation found out that both tourists at the end of the war worked near the lake and could well be participants or witnesses of the concealment of gold.

Currently, Austrian environmentalists have obtained from the government a hundred-year ban on diving for lost treasures.

Oak Island Treasures, or Money Pit

Oak Island

This island, located near Canada, has been harassing treasure hunters for 200 years. Allegedly, at the bottom of the "money pit" you can find unimaginable wealth. The pit was allegedly dug by pirates to store the loot.

The first to find her in 1795 was a boy named Daniel McGuinness, who claimed to be observing the mysterious lights coming from the island, and when he went at them, he found a hole under the tree, which, as it seemed to him, needs to be examined. These were the golden age of piracy, McGuinness and his comrades decided that there should be recently buried treasures in the pit. The guys returned there many times and continued to dig, going deeper and deeper. As they dive, they found traces of a pickaxe and wooden platforms. This confirmed their belief that the pit was made with human hands and treasures could be found there. On one of the wooden platforms, they found abandoned old shovels and picks. In the end, they did not find anything and asked for help from adults. But the island was notorious - mysterious lights were often seen at night on its shores. Adults abandoned this venture. Nevertheless, the legend of treasures spread. In addition, a coconut shell was found in the well, which is not typical for this area, and a mysterious stone with symbols that have not yet been deciphered. These discoveries laid the foundation for searches that have been going on for several centuries.

Different teams of treasure hunters tortured happiness. In the pursuit of jewels, six people died, entire fortunes amounting to several million dollars were spent. The hole became deeper and deeper, the well began to fill with water. This required powerful equipment to drain it. As new companies dug up new tunnels in order to get rid of water, the site of the original well was lost. Rumor has it that after all, pirate gold was found. Only treasure seekers forgot to report this. But that’s the treasure, so that to the end remain a secret and attract all new daredevils.
