How to clean the plane

I read at one stewardess how many passengers imagine the process of cleaning airplane toilets:

... an elegant stewardess in a tight skirt slowly puts on pink rubber gloves, and then quickly rushes with a brush at the ready through the entire salon to her favorite toilet. Having removed the closet, our imaginary heroine smiles languidly and wipes the sweat from her forehead with the back of her hand in pink gloves ...

How is everything really, and who cleans the toilets on the plane? How does this happen?

Firstly, there are no brushes on airplanes, if you could notice. Brushes bring with them cleaners who board the plane after the passengers leave. Stewardesses monitor the course of cleaning, make sure that they do not plant an explosive device, but in the case of a cleaning service, they do not take a direct part in the cleaning. Although they often have to go for cleaning managers and literally point a finger at the dirt, sometimes they even persuade them to wipe in certain places.

As a rule, the time between the arrival of the flight and the departure of the next is quite limited, so there is not much time for cleaning. Often the floor in the toilets is washed according to the principle of spreading everything that was spilled there, as well as throughout the plane with one mop without rinsing. Remember this the next time you want to walk around the cabin in your socks. By the way, often when cleaning about folding changing tables in the toilet, the cleaners safely forget, so the flight attendants are not advised to put a naked booty on them.

But cleaning services are not always carried out during U-turns: during parking in countries where there is a high threat of terrorism, cabin crew carry out cleaning of the cabin themselves to prevent the explosive device from being carried on board. At risk include, for example, France and Turkey. Naturally, this does not add cleanliness to the aircraft. After all, the stewardesses have the maximum that is gloves and garbage bags in which they can collect pieces of paper and cups around the cabin. But the brushes, as you remember, are not on board at all.

By the way, what about cleaning schedules during the flight? According to the rules of the stewardess, they check the toilet every 15 minutes after service. What is included in this check? The most important thing is to timely identify a fire, smoking, someone else feeling unwell, destructive behavior or a malfunctioning toilet. In the event of a malfunction, clogging or severe "messing up" of the stewardess’s toilet, they simply lock it, because there is more than one toilet on board. This can sometimes be seen on long flights.

Know that no one will rush and clean the blockage in the toilet in flight. This is not even acceptable from a security point of view. The maximum that stewardesses do to clean the flying toilet for 10 hours of your flight is to remove paper from the floor, spray it with a freshener and sometimes pour a couple of bottles of cola into the toilet bowl in order to dissolve the blockage.
