Photographer genius using drones makes otherworldly photos of mountain halo

Just take a look at these incredible shots taken by the musician and photographer, born in Liverpool and living in Chicago, Ruben Wu. Ruben is known for his pioneering approach to using drone lights to illuminate landscapes. The photographer gets completely otherworldly pictures, more reminiscent of shots from a sci-fi movie. These photos are part of the ongoing Lux Noctis project, which Ruben began work on in 2016.

"The first drone appeared in my 2014says Wu. - My childhood dream was to have a flying camera to see landscapes from impossible perspectives, so for my photo it was an important step to start using a remote moving camera. I started making drone photos and making music videos, experimenting with projectors that illuminate objects at night. From this, the concept of Lux Noctis developed. I started using an unmanned aerial vehicle as an air source of light, not a camera".

Of course, Ruben's attention is drawn to the remote landscapes of mountains and deserts, because the solitude and natural wealth that they can offer give the photographer inspiration and the opportunity to focus on work.
