From cheat sheets to potatoes: everything you ever wanted to know about USSR students

Perhaps each of us, who was once a student, will always remember those times, like a small separate life, filled with many discoveries, interesting events and dramatic changes. The Lumiere Brothers Photography Center presented the audience its Gaudeamus exhibition project, where it collected the most interesting photographs about the life of students during the Soviet era. The idea is designed not only to remind us of our own student life, but the most important thing is to try to convey the special atmosphere of students that reigned in the Soviet Union, with all its hostels, construction teams, gathering potatoes, KVN, cheat sheets and diploma protection, as well as presenting the image of a Soviet young man whose forces built science, art and social life. The result is a whole visual study of the "era in the era."
