The best taverns of Lviv according to the tipsy bloggers!

Lviv managed to surprise me, but I saw a lot! There is no such second city in the world! And the point is not in its historical building, which, of course, is beautiful. And not in his story, which, without a doubt, is unique. And not even in the current cheapness of Ukraine, but here so far everything is really very inexpensive.

I would call this city the world capital of the most unique pubs. Restaurants, wineglasses, liquors, bars, coffee houses and even canteens here are all as a selection, surprisingly original and unique. And this applies not only to their interiors. Each similar institution in Lviv is created with a certain idea, which in the process of implementation is sometimes revealed in an amazing way. If there is no such idea and the means to realize it, then you should not even think of starting such a business in Lviv.

In company with Igor Salnikov, igor_salnikov, we walked around the local establishments, got drunk and felt the true, daring, reckless spirit of Lviv! Our path went both through famous tourist places, and through institutions that few know about, and it is almost impossible to find them ourselves. The tour turned out to be memorable ...

Probably, many who were in Lviv have their favorite zucchini here. Someone is crazy about the Kumpel beer restaurant, someone recalls with admiration the Jewish atmosphere of “Under the Golden Rose” or the warmth from the Gas Lamps, and many will insist that the best time can be spent in the extreme Mazaz interiors -cafe "or trying culinary delights in" Krivaya Lipe ". Naturally, all visitors necessarily go to the famous “Kryivka” - a tavern stylized as a Bandera crypt or a forest guerrilla refuge. All these and many other places are really worthy of attention, but our marathon was a slightly different focus.

According to our voluntary guide that evening, Maxim, you can and should walk around Lviv, moving from tavern to tavern, staying somewhere for 15 minutes, and staying for hours somewhere. So in the evening you can get around up to 15 establishments and cool to get to the end of such an alcohol tour. Of course, we, as inexperienced party-goers, were offered a more sparing option.

Most parties and evening parties in Lviv begin with its central square Market. The concentration of taverns here is so great that many such trips here also end there. First of all, we went to the local “Drunken Cherry” liqueur. She is famous for the fact that there is no menu, as there is only one name in the assortment - cherry tincture. No hors d'oeuvres or zapivons - just a low-alcohol drink of scarlet color. The interior here is also all somehow connected with the tincture. It looks simple and tasteful. Only a little space.

The next establishment on our way is the legendary “Lviv Kopalnya Kava”, which means “coffee mine”.

In Lviv, everything is possible, in this coffee house you can go down to the basement and get into a practically real mine, where coffee is supposedly mined.

In complete darkness, you need to find a free table and wait for the waiter. They usually order coffee here, of course, and serve it together with a fire show, during which caramelized sugar on froth in cups is burned with a powerful flame from a gas burner. Cool!

This coffee shop is megapopular among citizens and tourists.

On the ground floor there is a large gift shop and a very traditional pub with live music.

A little away from the square, we looked into the squash "Warm Piez". Its owners brought old stoves from the whole district and organically entered them into the interior of this establishment. It turned out unusual, interesting and very cozy.

After such vivid impressions, we felt a sense of hunger. It was decided to have a bite to eat in a Georgian restaurant “Khinkalnya na Fedorovo”. There was no intrigue here - we ate khinkali, and washed down with Georgian red wine and chacha.

Gaining strength, we continued our increasingly warm tour. On the way, we looked into another famous Lviv restaurant "House of Legends". Here we didn’t even buy anything, but simply climbed to the roof of a three-story building, simultaneously glancing at all the premises.

In this very unusual place you can feel like children who have fallen into a fantastic saga. Each room is special, with its original interior. In the "House of Legends" there is a room of the Lviv pavement, a room of Lviv lions, a room of Lviv books and something else that cannot be already mentioned. All topics are legends about the city. But the coolest thing is to climb the roof and climb into the chimney, feeling like a Lviv chimney sweep.

To enhance the effect of surprise, there is a car with oars on the roof, and dwarfs serve customers on the same floor of the restaurant. One of the minuses of this institution is the ban on photographing inside the restaurant.

From all that was seen in this strange place, my head went round, it was decided to change the situation and look into the zucchini for the elite, whose name I no longer remember. It is located in the depths of dark Lviv courtyards and battered stairs.

Without knowledgeable people, one can hardly find it. Here we, with our Lviv friends, drank a glass of local shmurdyak, who turned out to be a strong port, in the light of a candle. Atmospheric!

After such a turn, my memory lapses started. I only know for sure that our company ended that evening in yet another legendary place - the restaurant-museum with the uncomplicated name "Salo".

We drank there a very strange tincture "Borsch" with the real taste of the famous soup, and for appetizer we were served sushi from lard.

A stylish place that is hard to forget!

And in every visited Lviv institution you must go to the toilet. Usually such trips caused us attacks of surprise and laughter. Creativity in latrines is off scale. I will not tell intimate details, but know - each trip was unique!

Acquaintance with Lviv restaurants at this evening did not end. In the following days, we visited some more very interesting taverns.

Every morning we started in one of the city's coffee houses. The coffee here is excellent!

So, to study Ukrainian cuisine at affordable prices, you should look into one of the canteens of a network catering establishment with the characteristic name "Puzata Hut".

It is a must to visit some local beer bar. Even if you are not a beer lover, it can be very very interesting. I myself hovered for a long time at the Pravda Beer Theater brasserie.

On the three floors with a basement, the brewery itself, a company store, several halls for visitors and a concert venue were located here.

Beer is made in batches and gives them original names. It is here that you can drink a glass of “Putin”, “Obama” or “Merkel”. I’m sure the party of Trump beer is on its way.

The interiors here are very bright and memorable. But the main thing is that a live orchestra plays every evening. Two hours passed here like two minutes.

And already in parting with our friends and the city itself, we looked into the liquor store under the name "Pidpilny Kindrat". Great place to put an end to my slightly drunken story.

For skeptics and amateurs, I’ll only inform you additionally - a glass of beer in Lviv on average costs 50 euro cents. The glass of liquor or local vodka costs the same amount. An appetizer is a little more expensive, so it will be difficult to spend heavily on such an excursion. I am sure that you should hurry to go to Lviv now. Such a freebie will not last too long ...
