Mongolian relay race

I spent almost all of June in company with the Mongols, Kazakhs, camels and mosquitoes. Two steep routes - one along the Gobi, the second along the north, including the Mongolian Altai. Completely different places, with unrealistic plague landscapes.

In general, this trip was very intense - from the desert with the scorching sun to the mountain lakes with ice water ...

Our journey began at Lake Tolbo, but there, as last year, it was raining, so there are no pictures. The next evening, we were already standing on Har-Us-Nuur, a huge lake, with hundreds of species of birds and billions of mosquitoes. This season, some kind of misfortune with them, despite the fact that in the past they have not seen a single one. Soft calm sunset and the ringing of a flying horde over the tent)

Behind the lakes are the sands of Mongol Els. Favorite place on the route. Beautiful sands, lots of shapes, rhythms and patterns.

This time there were even animators - horses galloping along the sand.

A couple of sunsets, and again sand on the teeth, in the hair, ears and other interesting places. Before the trip, I washed the tripod, and in the sand I realized that it was in vain) An unpleasant crunch followed me all the way.

Outside the windows of cars stretched Mongolian impassability, yurts with their smiling inhabitants.

From the sands left for the mountains. Dissonance - from heat to snowfields. Beautiful contrast.

One of the nights was spent at a completely stunning green oasis near the river. Another calm sunset.

Moved further to the mountain lakes, along the largest river in Mongolia - Khovd. I will not say that the places there are amazingly epic. In my opinion, and so it is clear)

A bit distracting from the landscape, Mad Max is Mongolian. Photo: stepanyukv

Favorite shore of Lake Khoton. Two and a half days of rabid grayling, sunsets, sunrises. And a quick tan-burn)

Right next to the camp was a small gopher dormitory. For a couple of days they became just photo stars :)

And the last sunset is already near the city of Ulgy to leave early home.

The trip was very eventful, so many landscapes, emotions and pictures in less than two weeks ...
