16 amazing combined shots of Paris: then and now

Frenchman Julien Knes created an interesting author's project dedicated to his hometown and part-time most popular city in the world - Paris. He found many old photographs of the capital of France taken between 1871 and 1968. Then he photographed the places where the pictures were taken, from the same angle, and then combined them.
New, impressive 2-in-1 photos were enough for a book called Paris, Fenêtres sur l'Histoire. These works simultaneously convey the amazing atmosphere of Paris and open a window to the past. Looking at them, you seem to find yourself in the very heart of history and the formation of this amazing city!
