The mountain that caused death and inspiration for many people

No wonder Everest has become a household name: it is not just the highest mountain on the planet, but also one of the most dangerous and at the same time inspiring and beautiful peaks. She became a muse and grave for a huge number of desperate travelers who dared to challenge her.

Everest is the English name for the mountain, Tibetan aborigines for many centuries have called the peak of Chomolungma ("mistress or mistress of the winds").

Mount Everest was named after the head of the British team exploring the Himalayas, Colonel George Everest.

The oldest conqueror of Everest is 80 years old. And the 13-year-old became the youngest climber to climb the top of the mountain.

At the highest point of Everest, you will inhale only a third of the amount of oxygen that you usually breathe. The reason for this is the reduced air pressure.
