1st World Indigenous Games

In 2015, a truly historic event took place in Brazil - the first World Indigenous Sports Games took place here. About how it was, our photo story.

This event is not a simple sports competition, but a whole festival of cultures, an amazing celebration of the traditions of indigenous peoples of the whole world.

The idea of ​​organizing the Games has long been discussed in the UN system and among indigenous peoples, but now it has been translated into reality.

The opening took place in the Brazilian city of Palmas on October 23. The ceremony looked unusually beautiful and very interesting.
