The photographer spent 17 years filming life in Mongolia, and created brilliant works

Roman Frederic LaGrange with Mongolia began in childhood, long before he had the opportunity to visit this country. Fascinated by the stories of his grandfather about the rescue of Mongolian soldiers during the Second World War, LaGrange dreamed about this distant land, and his trip there became a trip to professional photography.

After 17 years and many countless trips to this mysterious state, LaGrange is finally ready to show the world the work of his whole life. Finding time between commercial photo shoots for Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, Louis Vuitton and GQ, he packed his bags and went to Mongolia to continue the project dedicated to his strongest passion. After almost two decades of such trips, he created Mongolia, a publication that is a true work of art. And here are the most impressive shots from this project.
