20 photos from the ISS that showcase our planet in all its fantastic beauty

For thousands of years, people have raised their eyes to the night sky, studied the stars, hoping to find some kind of mysterious guide and dreaming to find out what is located where this dark, shimmering canvas is spread. For centuries, the night sky has served as a map for people to navigate and set time. But only in the last century mankind was able to "reach the stars" in reality.

The first man in space, the first man on the moon, the first man in Earth’s orbit - all these are the first, milestone milestones in the grand journey of people through the universe. In the immediate plans of mankind is the exploration of Mars, which means that one must work tirelessly, and someone uninterruptedly does this for thousands and tens of thousands of kilometers from the surface of our planet.

The International Space Station has been in low Earth orbit for about two decades. On board were visited by 236 people from 18 countries. And, despite the fact that they all had very serious work tasks and goals, they did not miss the opportunity to capture the breathtaking views that they were lucky to witness. Many of them later shared these fantastic shots on social networks.
