Leo Cecil and projections of 160 other species of endangered animals on the Empire State Building

Endangered species of animals are not always the main topic of public discussion, but this issue was able to attract considerable attention over the weekend in New York. On Saturday night, August 1, the facade of the Empire State Building turned into a huge screen for three hours, on which, using 40 spotlights, projected light images of 160 different species of animals that are in danger of extinction. A light show entitled "Designing Changes" has become part of the advertising campaign for the documentary film "The Race to Extinction," which will be released in December on Discovery.

The project is designed to draw public attention to the phenomenon, which was described as the "sixth wave of mass extinction on Earth."
