Every year, the Institute of Economics and Peace compiles a report entitled "Global Peace Index"

, which includes 162 countries depending on their level of security and tranquility. When compiling this rating, 23 qualitative and quantitative indicators are taken into account, starting with the level of violence and crime and ending with political terror, indicators of arms import / export and the level of prison violence. In each of the parameters, the state is assigned a rating from 1 to 5, where 1 is the best indicator.

This year, Iceland took first place with an index of 1.148, Denmark (1.150) came in second, Austria came in third (1.198). Oddly enough, the United States took as much as 94th position with an index of 2.038, which is better than in Saudi Arabia, but worse than in Peru.

The leaders of the negative indicators were Syria - at 162 place with an index of 3.645, Iraq (3.444) at 161 positions and Afghanistan, which took 160 place, receiving an index of 3.427.

We also note that Russia in this ranking fell into the final block of countries with very high risk and danger indicators, taking 152 place and receiving an index of 2.954. Her company is Nigeria and North Korea.
