The photographer shot the epic fight of a fox and an eagle for a rabbit

Agree, in a situation where someone brazenly snatches honestly earned right from your hands (and in this situation - from your teeth), not much is pleasant. The most important thing is not to get confused and not give up. Representatives of the animal kingdom this week showed us a great example of how to fight for their prey, and an American photographer from the state of Washington was lucky to capture this amazing battle on camera.

The main characters of this epic spectacle are the fox and the eagle. There was also a rabbit, but its role, though tragic, is very passive. On this day, the eared was not lucky to become a victim of a red predator. The fox, apparently, was quietly heading to her shelter to have a good dinner, when the impudent bald eagle decided to steal the prey from the fox. And what started here!

“A couple of days ago I captured a particularly dramatic act of theft,” wrote photographer Kevin Ebi on his blog. “I saw a bald eagle steal a rabbit from a young red fox. But even more impressive, sometimes the battle for prey unfolded at an altitude of about 5- 6 meters in the air! "

Kevin was on the island of San Juan (Washington), watching young foxes. "The red fox caught the rabbit and carried it through the meadow. I aimed the camera at her to capture it. Then I heard a bald eagle scream behind me. I turned around and saw that he was approaching very quickly. I knew that he needed a rabbit."

"To my surprise, the scene unfolded even more dramatic than I expected. I thought the fox would let the rabbit go by giving the eagle a light lunch. Instead, the fox clenched his jaw on the rabbit, and the eagle began to lift both animals into the air."

According to the photographer, the air battle lasted several seconds. Finally, realizing that she could not win, the fox refused to fight, and the eagle threw her from a height of several meters. However, the animal landed without any sign of injury.
