Rare, extraordinary photos about life in Norway in the 70s of the last century

The Norwegian photographer Terje Abusdal was stunned and delighted with the pictures that he once found in the family archive and was authored by his grandfather. Terrier knew that his grandfather was fond of photography and shot both for himself and for local print media, but apparently did not expect to see such spectacular, vivid pictures.

The photographs discovered by Abusdal reflect the life of Norway in the 70s of the last century. Then this country was still far from the ratings of states with the highest standard of living and from the wealth that oil later brought to it. The photographer recalls that his grandfather was a very cheerful and energetic man who loved to "rob". And this mischievous character of the author is clearly visible in most of his shots.

The 39-year-old Terje Abusdal says that at the time captured in these photos, the Norwegians lived modestly and simply, with televisions where only one channel was tuned and old cars, but they, like today, knew how to enjoy life and enjoy the simple things. Let's take a look at this life.
