What to bring from Geneva

Do you buy souvenirs? I am extremely rare. In any case, for myself. Anyway, I often cite only impressions and photographs. I do not like magnets and other rubbish. This time I could not pass by. I bought a mug! Bright, red, Swiss :)

Before that, I had a thermo mug from New York. Exactly the same, only steel color. A few months ago, her pen broke off. And in general, she is. So the souvenir is very useful. I also like to bring edible souvenirs. In short, here :)

A few words about Tilsiter cheese. It has been known since the mid-19th century. Production started in the city of Tilsit (East Prussia), now it is the city of Sovetsk, Kaliningrad region. The cheese factory was organized by the Prussian-Swiss settlers from the Emmental Valley (canton of Bern). Beginning in 1893, Tilsiter was also produced in Switzerland. It is slightly different in appearance and taste.

There are three varieties of Swiss Tilsiter:

- green brand - pasteurized milk cheese, has a mild taste

- red brand - cheese from unpasteurized milk, has a pungent odor and unusual piquant taste

- yellow mark - pasteurized milk cheese with cream, this was not in the store

With cheese, everything is more or less clear. The most difficult thing is to choose a souvenir for a sausage lover. I do not understand it.

In Switzerland, the cult of chocolate. What brands do you know? Milka, Toblerone and Lindt. Actually their sea! You go into the store, eyes run wide: Maestrani, Suchard, Alprose Gold, Cailler, Frey, Villars, Ovomatline, Ragusa. I bought tiles of different brands, half have already given away. I will leave black with absinthe. I rarely use chocolate, this one is interesting to try.

Chocolate pot, marzipan vegetables and a mug for mom's collection.

The pot is a symbol of the Escalade holiday. On the lid is a ribbon in the colors of the Geneva flag, on the side is the coat of arms of the canton of Geneva.

It turns out that there are already vegetables inside, I did not know. Why sold separately?

I still bought magnets. I had to please collectors. But I know that what they need, unfamiliar people to bring from the category of "at least something", of course, is not worth it. Giving trash is a bad tone.
