Lessons from winter happiness: how wild foxes enjoy snow

Roselyn Raymond is a talented Dutch photographer who became famous for her amazing shots of wild foxes. After she took off her first fox in 2010 and fell in love with these animals forever, Roseline constantly returns to the forest to document their life. And she really splendidly manages to portray their unique, pacifying beauty.

Raymond says the most amazing thing about foxes is their unpredictability. “You never know exactly where they will appear, and if they do, what they will do. When it begins to seem to you that you know them, you suddenly realize that you know nothing about these creatures,” the photographer says. Roselin has been photographing foxes for 7 years and says that during all this time she never got bored during the shooting, because each fox is a unique person who has something to surprise you with.

“Some of them are shy introverts, others can be very dominant and self-confident. Some are fantastic rabbit hunters, while others can hardly catch a mouse. Some foxes are great swimmers, and some start to tremble at the sight of a small puddle. "Some people prefer to stay on the ground, while others love acrobatic climbing. I feel very privileged to recognize these wonderful personalities," says Raymond.
