Alexander Petrosyan is a famous and talented street photographer from Russia, who has become a laureate of many international competitions and a regular at such world travel giants as National Geographic.

In most cases, his native Petersburg, our beautiful and noble Northern capital, appears before his lens.

Only Petrosyan’s photographs almost never show what we all would like to see and know about our native country. On them you will soon meet the sad, but quite ordinary truth, wild and at the same time funny scenes from the lives of ordinary Russian people, very far from that magnificent, full of importance image of Russia, which is usually formed in the minds of foreigners. The architecture here is delightful and sophisticated, and the atmospheric old buildings are just an entourage for our tipsy, poor, destitute or just too eccentric compatriots.
