18 mysterious and exciting photos of an abandoned hotel in Bali

French photographer Romain Waylon travels around the world, taking pictures of abandoned places: from the ghost town in Namibia to the "remains" of the Soviet Union in Bulgaria.

In his latest series of photographs called The Ghost Hotel, he presents us with a hotel in the highlands of Bali, which has been abandoned for more than ten years. These shots are astounding and exciting.

According to Veilon, the hotel does not have a name, because it never started its own.

The hotel is located approximately 30 miles from the capital Denpasar.

The photographer says that little is known about the hotel. Locals know almost nothing.

The appearance of this hotel is shrouded in legends.

One legend says that all the guests suddenly disappeared one night and now their ghosts roam this place.

Veilon believes that the most likely explanation is that the hotel was an investment project of Tommy Suharto, the youngest son of an ex-president of Indonesia.

Suharto abandoned the project after he was sentenced to 15 years in prison for complicity in the murder of a judge.

The photographer brought the guide here and left at the entrance to the territory, giving Waylon the opportunity to explore and rent a hotel all alone.

When a man left the territory, a thick fog absorbed her.

"The ghosts have returned to their home, and it is time for me to leave," says Waylon.
