Kunoichi - Beautiful Ninja of Iran

More than three thousand Iranian girls regularly decide to change their hijab to the clothes of ancient Japanese warriors in order to master the martial art of ninjutsu and become kunoichi. They turn into real women ninjas, ideally possessing hand-to-hand combat skills and the use of knives. The correspondent of the international news agency Reuters came to one of the kunoichi training centers located in the Karaj region near Tehran to tell you more about these amazing Iranian girls.

In addition to training melee techniques, kunoichi must also be able to harness their feminine charm.

In addition, these dangerous Iranians are trained in using different types of weapons and even using poisons.

Running up the wall is a common thing for kunoichi.

There are many similar training centers for female ninjas in Iran, and the Martial Arts Federation of the Ministry of Sports monitors their activities.

Training is always difficult and intense, so sparring partners have no time to regret each other.

The training, the ninja girls themselves admit, helps them maintain both physical and spiritual condition.

According to coach Fatima Muamer, classes here primarily teach girls to respect themselves.

Answering the question of why ninjutsu classes are needed, not a single girl spoke about self-defense, they all believe that the main goal of training is patriotic - to be able to defend one’s homeland at any time.

However, seeing how much perseverance Kunoichi show in training, the Reuters correspondent did not have a shadow of doubt in these words.

All these women warriors are fluent in nunchaku, swords and shurikens.

Often workouts are held outdoors. Girls are taught the basic principles of martial art: concentration, strength and balance.
