When you work a lot, you really want to go on vacation somewhere far, far away. It is desirable to the other end of the world. Somewhere on the islands, where everyone understands without words, where the turquoise waves of the ocean caress the white sand, spreading palm trees rustle overhead, and the sunset each time has new shades. Among the thousands of islands in the world, Mauritius stands out for its abundance of attractions, luxurious climate and a noticeable concentration of high-class hotels.

Our choice fell on the Beachcomber hotel chain, which has luxury hotels in Mauritius, Seychelles, Morocco and the French Riviera. At Beachcomber Hotels as many as eight hotels in Mauritius, and they are all very different. It’s not very easy to decide, but we stayed in a four-star Le Victoria Beachcomber Resort & Spaconsidered one of the most popular family resorts on the island.

Location and Attractions

The hotel is located on the northwest coast of Mauritius between the Grand Bay tourist center and the capital of Port Louis. This location turned out to be very successful - on the edge of the marine reserve, in the lagoon protected from the winds, the water is calm, the entrance to the ocean is convenient, and also shallow.

Near the hotel there is a marine park and Pointe aux Piman (Cape of Spices). These are long white beaches, magnificent bays, emerald-colored lagoons, paradise serenity and solitude. There is also a large coral reef and Aquarium, where not only children, but also adults will definitely like it. Also very close to Le Victoria is the extraordinary beauty of the botanical garden of Pamplus, where you can see giant water lilies, palm trees and the national flower of Mauritius - the bright red Trochetia boutoniana.

To visit more attractions, you should rent a car. The hotel staff is ready to help with this and tell you what to see first.

This small African island immediately captivated us with its beauty and wonderful roads along magnificent beaches and tropical forests. There are gorgeous waterfalls, colored sands in the village of Chamarel, tea plantations, a jungle with noisy birds, mountains and forest trails with suspension bridges, and also Lake Gran Bassin in the crater of an extinct volcano. It's easy to spend the whole day at the Black River Reserve, but it's worth it. The island is amazing! I'm afraid to imagine how much you can skip if you sit in one place and not travel.

Those who prefer cities to nature should go to Port Louis, take a walk along its streets, the Kodan embankment, reminiscent of Moscow's Old Arbat, and then go deep into the island to the town of Curpip to buy unique souvenirs made of ivory or jade.

Rooms and territory of the hotel

The hotel is thought out to the smallest detail so that it is convenient for everyone and everyone. For example, friends with two children settled in a family apartment, which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is very convenient for such a large family. Each had its own space.

We settled in a spacious deluxe room with a huge window over the wall and access to the terrace. From there, a magical view of the green landscaped area and the calm azure sea.

Our room in warm colors turned out to be very pleasant and cozy. A light breeze brought a delicate aroma of tropical flowers into the room, so we spent most of the time in the early morning and before going to bed on the terrace, or rather, on our own soft lounge chair. It should be noted that all rooms are very spacious, tastefully furnished, the beds are large and comfortable.

For children

Le Victoria was created for families. The hotel offers not only an interesting and rich program of a free children's club, but also a babysitting service, which can take children for several hours or for the whole day.

The peculiarity of the Beachcomber chain is that here everyone is considered to be children under 17 years old, although in the vast majority of hotels in the world children are considered to be guests only under 12 years old. It is worth paying attention to the fact that the All inclusive package is absolutely free for children under 5 years old, and for those who are older, an impressive discount is applied.

By the way, for teenagers in Le Victoria there is a separate program with free entertainment by age and a night disco where adults are not allowed. The hotel also has a separate games room for teens with a large sofa where they can play PSP, table football or ping pong.

Entertainment available to everyone

Almost all entertainment at the hotel is free (except for private lessons, but it is understandable). Le Victoria is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. In the lobby of the hotel there is a daily activity schedule. A gym is open from 7:30 a.m., you can go to Pilates, yoga, aerobics, cardio training and even a step.

You can start the morning in the pool with water aerobics, and after classes, without leaving the water, drink a glass of freshly squeezed juice from the bar.

Special attention deserves the SPA-center. Here you can enjoy different types of massage both inside the SPA center and in the gazebo in the courtyard, surrounded by palm trees, to the sound of water. The professionalism of the masters delights!

Beach volleyball, kayaking, windsurfing, water skiing, tennis and table tennis - in Le Victoria there is no chance to get bored.

It has everything you need, from a beautifully appointed beach to boutiques, massages, live music and dancing in the evenings.

Diving

There is a diving center on Le Victoria Beach. Last year, he was nominated for the World Travel Awards in the category "Best Diving School in the Indian Ocean." They know the best dive spots near the island.

When you see what is hidden beneath the water, it is breathtaking. Around you is a completely different life - intricate coral reefs, anemones, amazing underwater cliffs, walls, sunken ships, and most importantly - a variety of underwater inhabitants, such as large parrot fish, colorful clown fish, moray eels, stingrays, tuna, etc. Available depth - from 13 meters to 38. You can dive even at night, the sensations are completely different, and the view is different.

By the way, the center has an excellent diving school for children over ten years old, so some kids will be able to dive here for the first time with scuba diving. Family diving is a great idea, they broaden their horizons, unite and give a lot of bright emotions.

Restaurants

Le Victoria has three restaurants to suit all tastes. L'Horizon Beachfront Restaurant resembles a charming fishing village. It is famous for seafood and freshly caught fish. In the evenings, sitting under palm trees, it is nice to meet a raspberry-purple sunset and bury your feet in the warm sand.

Families should enjoy the Le Superbe Restaurant, which features a chic international buffet with a special kids area. Many dishes are prepared in front of guests.

For romantic evenings, the Italian restaurant-bar La Casa is more suitable with panoramic views of the capital of Mauritius Port Louis. It is located in a secluded area and is open for dinner only.

Romantic Le Victoria

The hotel has a service - a wedding. On the island you can officially register a marriage (upon returning to your homeland you only need to translate the documents). The tent is decorated on the beach with a red carpet, you can order drinks and snacks, as well as use the services of a photographer. Le Victoria has the motto: "One day - one bride!". That is, you will not meet the second bride here, and rightly so - only one should have a holiday!

In conclusion, I want to say that Le Victoria Beachcomber is, first of all, an unusually attentive attitude of the staff. Not only the desire to help, but also the sincere desire was always felt, which, of course, is very captivating. It is also an exquisite cuisine and entertainment for every taste for all ages. This is a great hotel for outdoor activities and to fall in love again. In life, adventure and everything that can give us every new day.
