Residents of India planted 50 million trees in just one day!

It’s not the first time you hear that our planet is in a deplorable state? And every year her situation, alas, is deteriorating. The activity of some people, as well as the indifference and ignorance of others, leads humanity to an early or late, but irreversible disaster. Or are we still able to change something?

Not so long ago, the people of India proved that our future depends only on us, our desire to influence it and not to stay away. We can significantly change the unfavorable forecast of the existence of our civilization if each of us, for example, plant at least one tree in our life.

So did 800 thousand inhabitants of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, the most densely populated region in the country. In just one day they managed to plant 49.3 million trees. Thanks to this, the place where they live will soon be cleared of murderous smog, and this, in turn, will affect the health of the local population and save tens of thousands of lives.

A pleasant bonus is the fact that this action was called a new world record and entered in the Guinness Book of Records.

By 2030, as part of a state program to protect the environment, Indians plan to plant trees over 95 million hectares of their territory, because now the largest cities of the state are among the ten most polluted settlements on the planet.
