3D graphics used as speed limiters in India

While driving, you would probably slow down if the crosswalk suddenly hung in front of you in the air. The Minister of Transport of India, Nitin Gadkari, counts on just such a reaction and suggests using 3D-drawings as an alternative to speed limiters on the roads. The following pictures show that such optical illusions simply cannot fail to attract the attention of drivers.

The decision to use such an unusual method was made after the Indian authorities refused to use the usual speed limiters on all roads of the country. The failure, in turn, was caused by the understanding that traditional speed limiters are too much danger to the lives of drivers who drive fast. The government has begun to look for a safer alternative.

One can only hope that such 3D-limiters will be quite effective, because at the moment, India is one of the first in the world in the number of deaths due to road accidents.
