Do you know that the pilot and co-pilot should eat different food?

Today, there are almost no such people who have never before flew airplanes in their lives. Before a flight, we always hear the same instructions: how to fasten your seat belt, what exit to use in case of an accident, and how to behave in emergency situations. But often what happens on board the aircraft, certain flight nuances that are concealed from passengers, are what interests us the most.

Despite the fact that we are accustomed to overly romanticizing the professions associated with flights, we must understand that this is daily hard work. After all, even becoming a flight attendant is more difficult than entering Harvard. The crew has many different rules and requirements. For example, at first glance, a ban on wearing a beard seems surprising. Although it is quite logical: in case of emergency, the oxygen mask will not fit snugly to the face. Therefore, rules arise for a reason. Among them, there is also a requirement regarding the ingestion of food by captains of airliners. The first and second pilots are served completely different food during the flights.

This principle is implemented in many airlines with the aim that one of the pilots be exactly what is called “in service” and be able to control the aircraft if his colleague suddenly gets food poisoning. By the way, if one of the pilots needs to go to the toilet, a flight attendant sits in his place to monitor the condition of the person who controls the plane, and in which case to call for help if, for example, he faints. Pilots are responsible for the lives of a huge number of people, so safety and security in this matter above all else.
