One of the recent such fascinating and noteworthy events, no doubt, was the International Beard and Mustache Competition, held in the city of Leogang (Austria). To show off with their truly epic beards and mustaches, more than 300 men from 20 countries of the world gathered in this alpine town.

Participants competed in 18 categories in 3 sections: mustache, partial beard and beard. In each category there were three prizes.

In 2011, the competition was held in Norway, and in 2009 in Alaska.
