Moomin Museum invites Tove Jansson to his birthday

On Saturday, August 10, the Moomin Museum in Finnish Tampere invites all admirers of Tove Jansson's talent to celebrate the writer's birthday together, and at the same time celebrate the 2-year anniversary of the museum itself.

The party will be held in Sorsapuisto, or Duck Park, which is located directly in front of the museum, from 14.00 to 21.00. They promise that it will be fun for both adults and children! Visitors will be able to play mini-golf, ride on the carousel, take pictures with the Moomins, take part in many interactive games, listen to Tove’s stories and even go to the sauna. Caravans with food and drinks will come to the park, and members of the SuomiLOVE band and singer IIta will also drop in - they are responsible for the musical accompaniment.

The entrance is free.

And the day before the party in the garden, on August 9, the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of conductor Santu-Matias Ruvali will give a free concert in the same park. Mezzo-soprano Nina Keitel will perform several opera arias from "Carmen" and compositions of the Finnish favorite genre - tango. The opening act will be the jazz band The Dumb Stuff Band and DJ DJ Juissi.

Beginning at 16.30.
