Photos from an abandoned children's summer camp in Chernobyl

This spring, a series was presented on television around the world that broke all the viewing records and made a real revolution in the minds of Westerners. HBO introduced a television movie called Chernobyl, which consists of several episodes. The masterpiece created thousands of people across the globe to meet or to revive in their memory the events of one of the worst catastrophes in the history of mankind. Since at the time of this monstrous incident, most of the information about him was kept secret and was not accessible even to residents of the region close to Chernobyl, not to mention the foreign public, the American series created the effect of an exploding bomb. Many people around the world did not even have a clue about the tragedy that happened in Ukraine more than thirty years ago. We have no right to forget about such disasters, and in the wake of the world’s awakened interest in the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, we want to show a series of pictures taken not so long ago in an abandoned children's camp located near the ill-fated reactor.

Three days after the large-scale nuclear disaster that occurred on April 26, 1986 at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in northern Ukraine, the Soviet government obliged everyone who lives within a radius of 30 km from the station to urgently be evacuated. People were told that they were leaving for just a few days. But 33 years later, this area, called the exclusion zone, remains lifeless as before, and time is known to be merciless.
