Extraordinary retro shots of London in the early 1950s

In the late 40s and early 50s of the last century, photographer Robert Frank, who had moved to New York at that time, regularly returned to Europe to capture her post-war revival and be inspired by this heady atmosphere of “resurrection”.

1951-1952 years passed at Frank under the sign of London. He fell in love with the atmosphere of the city, its motley and unpredictability. He photographed British financiers walking along foggy streets in traditional top hats and long coats. He took pictures of workers delivering coal, as well as children frolic in the yards. Frank took off the contrasts of the capital of Great Britain, and after almost 70 years, considering his work becomes even more interesting.
