Scientists have found an ancient road paved by the prehistoric inhabitants of the ocean

A scientist from Canada stumbled upon an impressive find that led to a review of some of the scientific theories. A rock stratum mined in the mountainous part in the north-west of the country fell into the hands of the researcher. After studying it became clear that it belongs to the Cambrian period and totals as much as 500 million years. Among scientists, it is this time that is considered one of the most important in the development of life on our planet.

Mackenzie Mountains where the find was discovered

On the stone section, traces of prehistoric worms were clearly visible: small polychaetes and larger representatives, presumably predators. However, the most curious fact is that the fossils were found in a place formerly the bottom of the ancient ocean, which means that these creatures laid their "paths" at great depths. Here, a contradiction arises with scientific theory. Indeed, according to her, in this period, the deep-sea areas of the oceans were completely uninhabited due to the acute shortage of oxygen. New data say that scientists were mistaken and the version requires revision.
