Monsters among turtles that are better not to meet

In most of us, turtles are associated with cute, calm reptiles from pet stores or peace-loving sea turtles, which are dangerous only for plankton. But the world of turtles is not limited to this. It turns out that among the representatives of this detachment there are quite a few very dangerous creatures that can swallow large prey and even harm a person. We offer to go to North America and look at two unusual and rather aggressive turtles: cayman and vulture.

Both of these species belong to the family of cayman turtles. They are fairly close relatives and neighbors - both are found in the United States. But the cayman turtle is smaller and has high cold resistance. For this reason, its range is more extensive and covers not only the central and eastern regions of the United States, but also southeast Canada. The tortoiseshell is not so hardy and is found only in the calm waters of small rivers and swamps located in the Mississippi basin. But then it has an impressive size: with a weight of about 60 kilograms, it reaches a length of 1.5 meters.

And from this video you can find out what these reptiles look like in real life, and why you should not come close to them.
