What could be the theater of Sydney: 6 unrealized projects of the main symbol of Australia

Today, the Sydney Opera House is one of the most recognizable buildings on the planet, which can be compared with the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty. However, it could be completely different and, it seems, less memorable. We want to show you six projects that claimed to beautify Sydney Harbor.

The project from a group of architects from Philadelphia was in second place.

Third place went to the Dutch-British team.

Another box from designer Stanley Milburn. He wanted to make a helipad on the roof of the opera house. Apparently, for a conductor who could be in a hurry somewhere.

The project is from architects Peter Kollar and Balthazar Korab, who fled from communist Hungary to Australia.

An opera house from the British company Vine and Vine, where a restaurant is planned between two auditoriums.

The project in white and gold colors from the famous British conductor Eugene Goossens could well be implemented: the British was not only a famous composer, but had a great influence in politics.
