Zyuratkul moose: a mysterious geoglyph in the Urals that has disappeared

Geoglyphs - figures and patterns on the earth's surface - are not only on the Nazca plateau, but also in Russia. The scale, of course, is somewhat more modest, but nevertheless the Zyuratkul moose, discovered not so long ago in the Urals, immediately attracted the attention of scientists and the public. This building has already managed to acquire various theories about its origin. But the most interesting thing lies in the very fact of the existence of this object: skeptics claim that it does not exist.

An ancient geoglyph, presumably depicting an elk, is located in the Zyuratkul National Park, in the territory of the Satka district of the Chelyabinsk region. It was discovered in 2011 when studying space images. The location of the geoglyph was investigated using a drone, and then a scientific expedition set off for it.

As a result of archaeological excavations conducted with the participation of the Institute of History and Archeology of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, a stone base of the geoglyph was discovered, which is hidden under a layer of soil and turf. That is, the presence of a stone contour allows us to judge that this is a man-made object, and judging by the amount of soil layer formed, its age is about 4-8 thousand years. No other traces of the presence of ancient people were found nearby. No funds were found for more detailed studies, and work on the study of the geoglyph was suspended.

Despite the confirmation of the very fact of the existence of the geoglyph, after some time there was information that the Zyuratkul moose is a falsification, so it is impossible to see it in open space photographs. Indeed, the image of an elk is visible in photographs dated 2007-2011, but in modern photographs there is no trace of it. How can this be? There is no explanation for this yet.

In addition, skeptics point to a very conditional contour of the animal, which no one has thoroughly studied, and excavations were carried out in only two places.

It is quite obvious that this object needs additional research, and only after a detailed study can it be said whether the geoglyph really exists.
