Hanobi: the centuries-old tradition of Japanese fireworks in amazing antique catalogs

But did you know that the Japanese are unsurpassed masters of fireworks and their fiery fans? This spectacular sight is called Hanobi, which means "fiery flowers." To the people of Japan, it seems that fireworks are very similar to sakura blossoms. For several centuries now they have been polishing their skills in this art. Because in Japan, fireworks are really art!

Proof of this is the ancient catalogs of hanobi, which recently showed the general public the Yokohama State Library.
