Meteor Charm

Meteors are incredible and attractive. They became one of the dreams come true - I have long wanted to visit here. Incredible nature combined with history and Orthodoxy. (Note editorial staff: meteors - cliffs about 600 meters high in the mountains of Thessaly, in northern Greece).

People are attracted not only by nature. More precisely, not so much nature. Many rush here for the sake of monasteries located on the tops of the cliffs. Now there are only 6 of them, everything can be visited.

From the rest, ruins were preserved, but there, no, no. Protected.

Keep in mind that visiting local monasteries is a matter for people with good physical fitness. You will have to walk to the peaks by steps on the steps. But the views around are fantastic.

All the time I compared the Meteors with Cappadocia ... and definitely have to go there and there. And I want to return to Meteora - to see them with a blue sky and night illumination. And also sit in the evening in a real Greek tavern. But my heart still belongs to Cappadocia - and the volume of beauty there is larger in area, and nature is more diverse.
