The winners of the 2018 European Nature Photographer

In 1971, the Society of German Naturalist Photographers (Gesellschaft Deutscher Tierfotografen) arose in Germany. The organization grew and developed and in 2001 grew to its own wildlife photography contest. This competition, which can be attended by both professionals and novice photographers, has become quite authoritative and significant in the vastness of the European continent over the 17 years of its existence.

Each year, the jury selects winners from several thousand works in the following categories: Birds, Mammals, Other Animals, Plants and Mushrooms, Landscapes, Underwater, Man and Nature, Nature's Workshop "," Youth under 14 years old, "Youth 15-17 years old. The prize pool of the GDT Europäischer Naturfotograf des Jahres is 25 thousand euros, of which the main prize winner receives 3000 euros, and the finalists of other nominations are much more modest amounts.
