Other England: a photo about the life of the British working class of the 70-80s

Tish Murtha, an English photographer from Newcastle, photographed the social life of northern England in the 1970s and 80s of the last century and tried to capture the representatives of the working class of that time as if they were her family. She empathized with them and therefore with her work she wanted not only to demonstrate their difficult existence, but also to somehow help the heroes of her shootings. Bright, emotional, dramatic shots of Tish from time to time managed to attract public attention to the lives of those who, by the will of fate, were overboard the ship of well-being and affluence.

In 2013, Tish Murtha left this world, and her daughter decided at all costs to do the important, touching and very vital work of her mother in the public domain.
