Disneyland's first opening year and now

The first idea of ​​creating Disneyland came from Walt Disney, when he and his daughters visited various amusement parks in the 1930s and 1940s. He wanted to recreate the world of cartoons and fairy tales, where it would be interesting not only for children but also for adults. In 1953, he acquired an area of ​​65 hectares near Anaheim, California, and the next year large-scale construction work began there. On July 17, 1955, the very first Disneyland solemnly opened. Since then, children and adults from all over the world have been eager to get here. It will be interesting to see what the famous amusement park just opened was and how much has changed there over so many years.

Disneyland, which opened in Anaheim in 1955, was located next to an orange grove, that day the park was visited by 22 thousand invited guests. Now we can notice that the park has expanded significantly.

From the very first day of opening, Sleeping Beauty Castle has become a favorite attraction for visitors, and now, I must admit, it remains one of the key attractions of Disneyland. To get there, you need to stand a long line.

On the opening day, July 17, 1955, a festive parade was held in the park, led by California Governor Goodwin Knight and his wife. Today, parades are held here every day, and their entertainment is amazing.

The Crazy Tea Party attraction, both then and now, is dearly loved by park visitors. You can often see a family of celebrities here.

Among the special entertainments of Disneyland in Anaheim, one can distinguish a river walk on fabulous boats. Over time, the appearance of the ship changes, but each time it is decorated in the style of the next cartoon released by Disney.

Beginning in the 1960s, tour guides at Disneyland wore Scottish-clad clothes. Until now, this drawing continues to be respected.

Initially, only visitors in strict formal clothes were allowed into the halls of cafes and restaurants in Disneyland, but now there is no such requirement, you are free to come what you want.
