Seoul is an amazing capital with its own national park.

Of course, its record attendance is due to its proximity to Seoul, the largest metropolis in the world, with more than 10 million people (and the metropolitan area has more than 20 million inhabitants). Many residents of the capital and numerous tourists are happy to visit Bukhansan Park, which is located in the northwestern part of the capital. Annually this is a wonderful place, where 14 tourist routes are arranged, visited by more than 5 million people.

Bukhansan National Park is located on the mountain range of the same name and has been a special natural area since 1983. Under protection are almost 700 species of plants and about 1,500 species of animals. The scenic peaks of the Bukhansan Range, waterfalls and forest trails delight visitors. If you are a tourist prepared for active walks, you can go to one of the peaks, whose absolute heights are about 800-850 meters, and enjoy beautiful views of Seoul and its environs. The Benkendai summit (height 836 meters) can be conquered without special preparation, but climbing skills and equipment are necessary to climb Insubong (810 meters).

In addition to beautiful nature, visitors to the national park awaits a cultural and historical program. There are numerous Buddhist temples and an ancient rampart on the territory of Bukhansan Park.

Observation decks are also equipped in the park, where there are always many who want to take photos of marvelous views as a keepsake.
