In all countries of the Schengen agreement, the standard requirements for medical insurance of tourists apply:
insurance must cover the entire period of stay abroad and apply in all Schengen countries.
The minimum insurance threshold starts from 35 000 EUR (or the equivalent amount in another currency).
The insurance agreement should extend not only to medical services, but also to the repatriation of the body in the event of the death of the insured).
Those who choose to go to Europe not only for summer holidays should think about purchasing more profitable annual insurance. An important point: under the terms of such an agreement, the duration of each trip should not exceed 90 days.

US Visa Health Insurance

With an American tourist visa, things are simpler: you can get it without an insurance certificate. Thus, insurance becomes optional - the tourist decides whether he needs it or not. During an interview at the American embassy, they are often asked to present air tickets or documents confirming the reservation of housing, but this requirement does not apply to the insurance policy.
Nevertheless, issuing it will not be amiss: medical services in the USA are very expensive, which is why the minimum insurance coverage is from 50,000 USD.
